ROCA ATLAS.
The Roca Atlas
The Atlas is our own map of the studio: every product, the capabilities it required, and the partners around it, drawn as one graph. Read down, it is a portfolio. Read sideways, it explains why the work fits together. An audio pipeline built for one product becomes the ground the next one stands on, and a system we understand well enough to run is a system we can build on again.
HOW WE THINK.
Six steps, in order. We hold the first two open longer than most teams do, because they decide how much of the rest gets wasted.
OBSERVE
We watch the work before we describe it. What people actually do, what they route around, and the step everyone apologises for. The brief comes after that.
REDUCE
Most requests contain three products. We find the one that carries the value and cut the rest, so the first release is small enough to finish and clear enough to judge.
DESIGN
Screens are drawn against real content and real states, including the empty and the failed ones. If a flow only works with ideal data, it is not designed yet.
BUILD
Typed, tested, and shipped in slices. Each slice is usable on its own, so progress can be used rather than reported in a status meeting.
MEASURE
We instrument what a change was supposed to do, then read the answer, including when the answer is that the idea did not work and should come back out.
COMPOUND
What one product proves becomes infrastructure for the next. Pipelines, schemas, and hard-won details carry forward, so the second build starts further along.

Jon Cataldi
Jon works at the front of the studio: finding the problem worth solving, deciding what Roca builds next, and taking it to the market it was built for. He runs the operating side of the company and the commercial side of every engagement.
Scott Rosenberg
Scott owns how Roca's products are built. He sets the architecture, writes and reviews the systems underneath it, and decides the technical path that gets a product from a working version to one that can be run and changed for years.
